Determining the software your dealership will use is a critical decision. In a very real sense, the dealership management system you choose is an investment and a partnership.

The right system will support what works best for your business. The right system will make inefficient practices more efficient. The right system will quickly pay for itself and ultimately result in more money coming into your dealership.

Conversely, the wrong system causes breakdowns in communication and efficiency. The wrong system will cause unnecessary frustration for everyone in your dealership, from the GM to your sales and service folks, and most importantly, your customers. The wrong systems will ultimately result in a net loss of your investment.

Like any investment, there is risk. The best investors only put their money behind opportunities with the least question marks. So, let's go through the differences between EverLogic and Blackpurl.

EverLogic Pricing

Let's start with the price of both EverLogic and Blackpurl, as for many buyers, price is a dealbreaker.

At EverLogic, we feel it is important to make our pricing as simple and transparent as possible. With that said, we only have three primary fees: EverLogic desktop license ($129 per license, per month), EverLogic mobile license ($39 per license, per month), implementation fee ($4,000 one-time payment). Only the implementation fee and at least three desktop licenses are required. Any additional licenses, including mobile licenses, are optional.

Your implementation fee covers uploading your data (customer list, inventory, parts inventory, vendor catalog, etc.) to the software, programming all your state-required documents into the software, training, and QuickBooks mapping assistance. With your monthly licensing fee, you will receive access to the software as well as support and training for new employees.

Blackpurl Pricing

One major difference between Blackpurl and EverLogic's pricing model is how licenses are structured. With EverLogic, you get everything EverLogic offers with a minimum license purchase, including full implementation services. According to Blackpurl's website, there are four packages you can buy with added features for each package.

Essentials ($388 per month for 3 users + $121 per month for additional users): 3 forms, 5 price files included, additional forms and price files available for a fee. Phone support is not available. 

Professional ($774 per month for 7 users + $97 per month for additional users): 5 forms, 7 price files included, additional forms and price files available for a fee. Phone support is available for a fee equal to 20% of your monthly bill.

Professional+ ($1,694 per month for 15 users + $72 per month for additional users): 10 forms, 9 price files included, additional forms and price files available for a fee. Phone support is available for a fee equal to 20% of your monthly bill.

Enterprise: No price information available on website.

Fees

EverLogic Fees

EverLogic has only one fee not associated with purchase or licensing. EverLogic will cover all your state-required documents during implementation. However, if you have a document that is not required by your state, like a customer review form, there is a charge of $250 per page. It is highly unlikely though you will need this service.

Blackpurl Fees

According to their website, Blackpurl does an activation fee, however the amount is not specified.

They also have several fees that are considered add-ons. These include:

  • $31 per month for additional technician slots
  • $20 per month per processed price file
  • $204 per programmable form
  • $102 per hour for training
  • Between 15%-20% of your monthly bill for phone support
  • $300 for Shopify integration

Contracts

EverLogic Contract

EverLogic customers do not sign long-term contracts. We have full confidence in our software and feel a contract would only take away from that confidence. Instead of a contract, our customers' licenses are renewed automatically each month.

If you choose to leave EverLogic, for whatever reason, you will pay one more month of licensing fees. This keeps your data on our server for an additional month to use as you need. The data will be available for you to use in any way you deem necessary. 

There is no buyout fee for EverLogic.

Blackpurl Contract

According to their website, Blackpurl does require new dealerships to sign a contract for 12 months. The website does not specify how much customers will pay in fees should they need to get out of the contract.

Blackpurl also does not say whether dealerships are required to resign a contract or if they are renewed monthly after the first 12 months.

Support

EverLogic Support

EverLogic support is available in three different forms. First, customers may call EverLogic's customer support helpline at (904) 998-4066. Phone support is available from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

EverLogic has an online ticketing system you can reach through a customer portal. That will be set up once you move forward with EverLogic. The customer portal is available 24/7, however, support will only be available during normal business hours. Support usually responds to ticket within an hour.

EverLogic also offers an online Knowledge Base. The website features hundreds of articles and videos into almost every aspect of the EverLogic software for both training and troubleshooting purposes.

Blackpurl Support

According to their website, Blackpurl offers both a ticketing system and a knowledge base like EverLogic. They also feature live online chat.

However, Blackpurl does not include phone support with your purchase. The company only offers "premier phone support" for an additional 15% or 20% added to your overall monthly bill depending on the package you buy. Phone support is not available for the Essentials package.'

The Last Word

It would take a lifetime to evaluate all the possible software solutions to find the perfect dealership management system for your dealership. Who's got that time?

EverLogic offers virtually everything a dealership needs. There are eight modules covering customers, sales, parts, service, accounting, documents, point of sale, and financing. Each of those modules interacts with each other in an easy-to-use format that the most basic user can get started with EverLogic with a little training. 

There is nothing flashy about EverLogic. Our software is not meant to "wow" you visually. Rather, EverLogic is designed for speed, accuracy, and functionality

More than just the software though, EverLogic believes in transparency and fairness. Our pricing structure is clear and concise without any "add-on" fees. When you join the EverLogic, even at the minimum of three licenses, you get all our company has to offer.

You receive free training, including one-on-one training, free support no matter if you decide to call or email us, and free programming of all your state-required documents. All your price files are included, and you get to determine the designations of your employees without paying a fee.

Just as importantly, you never have to sign a contract with EverLogic. If you choose to leave, we will support your decision and make sure you have all the data necessary to continue your dealership's success. 

For us, being the best dealership management system is important. Just as important is being fair and honest to both of customers and the folks who show interest in EverLogic as leads.

Blackpurl's phone support is a minimum of $155-255 per month with their complex pricing structure. Instead of a flat rate,m or no rate at all, they choose to add 15-20% on top of your monthly bill, depending on your plan.
